What is the timeframe from ordering to delivery?
Order Placement:
Once your order is placed, we will contact you.
Preparing:
The selected beast is sent to the butcher, where it is processed and hung for optimal tenderness.
Packaging:
After butchering, the meat is cryovacced to maintain freshness and labelled in meal-size portions.
Delivery:
The prepared meat is then readied for delivery.
This entire process typically spans 2 to 3 weeks from the initial order placement to delivery.
Each step ensures that the meat reaches you in optimal condition.

This allows you to promptly store the meat in your freezer immediately after delivery.
Your satisfaction and the quality of our products are our top priorities.
Can I cancel my order?
As a small, family-run business, we appreciate your understanding and commitment when placing an order with us.
Once an order is placed, the process of delivering your fresh Beef Box begins immediately, including the selection of a specific beast.
Due to this specialised process, if you choose to cancel your order, we are unable to return the produce to our inventory.
If you do decide to cancel, you will forfeit your funds and will not receive your delivery.
We kindly request that you consider these factors before placing an order with us. Your support and cooperation allow us to maintain the quality and integrity of our products and service.
Is the meat fresh or frozen?
Your Beef Box contents are delivered fresh from the butcher and in cryovacced packaging. We deliver in a refrigerator truck and recommend storing the meat in a freezer immediately after delivery.
Each portion is carefully labelled to provide convenient meal-sized servings, guaranteeing that you receive fresh goodness with every delivery.
What size freezer do I need?
We recommend the following guide for your freezer size:
Order | Dressed Weight | Freezer Capacity Required |
¼ Beast | 50kg - 70kg | 90L (bar freezer or small/medium chest/standard freezer) |
½ Beast | 100kg - 140kg | 175L (large upright or chest freezer) |
Full Beast | 200kg - 280kg | 350L (extra large upright or chest freezer) |
How long can the meat be stored in a freezer?
With proper packaging, your beef maintains its quality for 6 months to a year.
We ensure each cut is tightly wrapped or vacuum-sealed at a frozen temperature, to protect both flavour and safety.
Are your beef sausages gluten-free?
Yes, our Mocatta Creek Beef sausages are gluten-free.
For the full list of the ingredients we use to create flavour and tastiness, please contact us.
What age are the cattle?
Our cattle are aged between 3 to 4 years old before processing begins.
Following processing, we allow the beef to undergo a minimum 10-day dry ageing period before customising it to meet specific orders.
We opt for cryovacing all our beef because it enhances tenderisation through the natural enzymatic breakdown of fibres within the vacuum-sealed bags.
This method ensures that our beef consistently delivers tender, juicy, and flavourful cuts for our customers to savour.
Do you give your cattle beef antibiotics, growth hormones, or mRNA vaccines?
The answer is no, we do not give our cattle beef antibiotics, growth hormones, or mRNA vaccines.
